  • Saturday this year for all levels of musicians! We also have a share table, take an item, leave an item or both! Any items left will be donated. Non-perishable food items will be collected by the coffee stand for the Delaware Food Bank. 

  • The kitchen at G & R will be open for burgers, chicken strips, shrimp baskets and more. Delfolk will have coffee and snacks available and our beer tent for those 21+, is sponsored by Dogfish brewing! Coolers are permitted so you're welcome to bring a picnic, snacks and beverages from home too!

  • Friday nights Folk Hero Contest hosted by our 2024 winner, Jake Rashkind!  The evening features six competing artists from all across the DMV.   Come on out and support local talent and vote for your favorite!

  • Saturday kicks off with the 11 a.m. workshop, "Songwriting with Red Smith". 

  • At 4 p.m. the Plate Scrapers offer a workshop on song arrangement, dynamics and syncopation. Both workshops are free and open to all!

9 p.m.- Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers with Chris Vitarello

This isn't just a band, it's a dynamic convergence of rock and blues from the deep well of musical tradition! At the heart of the group is Melody Trucks, daughter of Allman Brothers Band legend Butch Trucks. As a powerful vocalist and percussionist, she carries her family's musical legacy forward, intertwining her sound with the high-energy, funky jams of The Fitzkee Brothers.

This dynamic Delaware duo,The Fitzkee Brothers (drums and bass) are making their own mark on the music scene, having shared the stage with an impressive list of artists, including Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady, Oteil Burbridge, Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and George Porter Jr., to name a few. Their sound is heavily influenced by icons like the Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead and The Band.

Rounding out the group is Chris Vitarello, an accomplished guitarist whose sophisticated playing adds a soulful fire. Together, this supergroup pays tribute to the past while blazing a new trail in the modern jam scene. They are a true force, celebrating their influences while creating a fresh and vibrant sound all their own.

7 p.m. The Plate Scrapers 

The Plate Scrapers are a high-octane bluegrass band from Virginia and Maryland, known for creating a sound that’s deeply rooted in tradition and served up with a dose of good ol’ fashioned chaos. Their live performances are a showcase of  harmonies and masterful instrumentation, delivering an unforgettable bluegrass experience from the very first note.

Their dedication has earned them some serious props, including being an official showcase artist at the prestigious IBMA conference. Their album, Destination Horizon, debuted at #9 on the Bluegrass Album Billboard charts, and received a glowing review from Bluegrass Today. With a reputation for creative chemistry and an immersive live show, they've provided direct support for legends like Larry Keel, The Seldom Scene and Frank Solivan. 6 p.m. Roots Revival Roadshow 

The Roots Revival Roadshow is a dynamic traveling collective of musicians from the greater Philadelphia and Delaware area, united by a passion for celebrating the profound legacy of African American music. Their sound is a rich tapestry of blues, folk, rock, and soul, weaving together timeless classics and compelling original compositions.

The core of the group features Sug Daniels on vocals and ukulele, roots and blues artist Antar Goodwin, and Ty Mathis on guitar and vocals. Their collective performances are a journey through time, bridging the past and present through heartfelt storytelling, infectious rhythms, and soulful melodies, the Roadshow honors the roots of this powerful musical tradition.

5 p.m. Gypsy Fuzz- The Music of Christine Havrilla 

Gypsy Fuzz is the powerhouse band behind singer-songwriter Christine Havrilla. Known for her unique style blending the soulful sounds of the '70s with modern rock, Christine was a creative force whose courageous spirit, throughout her battle with cancer , inspired the music community and is greatly missed. 

The band's powerful mix of raw, progressive and commanding music serves as a vibrant tribute to Havrilla's artistry. With a career spanning decades, Christine Havrilla created a powerful legacy of music. Gypsy Fuzz's live performance honors her spirit, delivering an unforgettable experience that pays homage to her work while showcasing their own high-energy sound.

3 p.m.  Road W

Road W is a four-piece band featuring the seasoned talents of John Kidd, Walt Dabell, Bob Hamel, and Mark Groves.Their sound is as expansive as the American landscape, weaving an enticing fusion of blues, folk, and Americana.The band's name, Road W, carries intentional meaning, named after the literal, non-musical road that is the only way to get to the Sand Creek National Historic Site in Chivington, Colorado. This choice is a tribute to a predecessor band, Sandcreek, founded by Lonnie Field and named in honor of the native people lost during the Sand Creek Massacre in 1864. 

Road W's music is a continuation of cherished tradition. With deep roots tied to the Delaware Friends of Folk, the band honors this rich history by performing Sandcreek originals and other songs that "The Creek" used to play as well as new music, all while staying true to the classic spirit that came before.

2 p.m. Nate McCormick

Nate McCormick is a Delaware-based musician, singer, and performer with over two decades of experience. Known for his captivating acoustic shows, he uses a looper and other pedals to create a full, layered sound. His music spans genres from folk and rock to pop and indie. He is also a dedicated teacher, offering instruction in guitar and bass to students of all ages. 

McCormick is the "Director of Noise" at The Listening Booth in Lewes, Delaware, where he hosts weekly open mic nights and works with other local artists.  Whether he's performing on stage or working behind the scenes, Nate McCormick is a true cornerstone of the Delaware music community.  https://www.natemccormick.com/

1 p.m. Jim Rezac 

Jim Rezac is a songwriter and guitarist from Wyoming, Delaware, known for a sound that weaves together Americana roots with indie pop sensibilities. His music has been praised for its honest and powerful storytelling. A seasoned performer, Rezac has graced the stages of notable venues like The Bitter End and Musikfest. His talent extends to the screen, where he won "BEST THEME SONG FOR A PODCAST" at the 2021 New Jersey Web Fest.

In addition to his solo work, Rezac is a music educator, teaching guitar to 50 students weekly from his home studio. A former member of the band Church Key Saints, he continues to build his career as an artist and a mentor in the local music community. https://jimrezac.com/

12:30 p.m. Marley Fyock

Marley Fyock is a ukulele player and singer-songwriter from Lewes, Delaware. She began her career at an early age in Pennsylvania, where she appeared in musical theater productions, including a role in Les Misérables at just seven years old.

Fyock has established herself in the local music scene and performs regularly at various local venues and has also played with a jazz band. In addition to her musical pursuits, she continues to be a featured performer in local theater productions. https://marleyfyock.com/

7 p.m. Friday Night Folk Hero Jake Rashkind

 Jake Rashkind draws from a rich tapestry of musical genres, paying tribute to influences like Van Morrison, The Band, Johnny Cash, and Neil Young. His original compositions skillfully fuse traditional roots with a modern twist, creating a unique and contemporary sound. 

Rashkind performs throughout Delaware and the local region, both solo and in various lineups, including with Hoss Boggs and RAR. In 2024, he was named the Folk Hero winner at the 33rd Annual Delmarva Folk Festival.
